Brolga returns to Gre Gre Box Swamp in what must be a wet year

BROLGAS or Burralga, the indigenous name, are sociable and extroverted birds, often seen in pairs and in family groups numbering 3 to 4 individuals. Seeing one on its own, particularly during the breeding season, means that usually there is a mate sitting on a nest somewhere not too far away.
