Charlton Children Create Crafty Creatures

THE children of Charlton were well catered for over the school holidays with two fun activities hosted by the Charlton Neighbourhood House.

In the first week of the school holidays children made felt animals.
In the first week of the school holidays children made felt animals.

With the ideal venue of the Rex Theatre foyer, the children were very excited on the first week to make from scratch small felt animals under the direction of Cheryl Kemp.

Using materials provided, the felt was carefully attached using a special needle and some terrific creations were made and taken home.

Week two saw Jo Phillips host a special activity of decorating kite kits.

From the colouring and decorating of the blank kites, to the attachment of the supports and tails, the children were all excited with their finished projects, and a bee line was taken to the nearest park to get them airborne.

Expressions of interest are being taken for a number of upcoming planned programs and activities so check out the Charlton Neighbourhood House’s web page for details at www.charltonnh.org.au
