Discovery of Montevideo Maru gives comfort to local family
THE recent discovery of the Japanese ship at the centre of the worst maritime disaster in Australian history, SS Montevideo Maru, transporting about 979 Australian prisoners of war has bought a measure of comfort to family members of VX28632 Pte Martin Timothy Hoye from St. Arnaud.
