Northern Grampians Council defies trend by continuing to offer Aged Care Services
NORTHERN Grampians Shire Council (NGSC) has been involved in offering services to the aged residents of this shire for seven decades however, due to the changes in the system the Council called for a review of the system and their role in it. With many of the surrounding shires opting out of offering in home aged care services which includes domestic care, personal care and home maintenance and meals-on-wheels, in view of the changes to the system, there are now 28 Shires that will now not offer aged care services with the void expected to be filled by private providers.
